UK-based cloud computing startup NexGen Cloud has secured $45 million in Series A funding to supercharge its expansion of GPU-powered AI infrastructure in Europe. As demand for accessible, scalable, and sustainable computing soars across industries, the company’s latest funding marks a major step toward making high-performance AI tools more widely available—without compromising data privacy or environmental standards.

The round was led by Moore & Moore Investment Group, with support from family offices and high-net-worth individuals. NexGen Cloud will use the capital to grow its engineering team, refine its technology, and forge strategic partnerships in sectors like healthcare, finance, and media.

This fresh capital injection brings NexGen Cloud’s total funding to $59 million. The company had earlier secured $14 million in March 2022. Its valuation has now climbed to $354 million, reflecting its rising influence in Europe’s AI infrastructure market.

Making AI Infrastructure Affordable, Scalable, and Green

Founded in 2020 by Christopher Starkey and Youlian Tzanev, NexGen Cloud is on a mission to democratize access to advanced cloud computing. Its distributed GPU-as-a-Service solutions are designed to cut costs, scale effortlessly, and comply with Europe’s strict data privacy laws. On top of that, all operations are powered by 100% renewable energy—setting a high standard for sustainability in the cloud sector.

The company’s offerings are tailored for AI-focused enterprises and developers who need reliable, high-performance compute power without the overhead. By combining efficiency, transparency, and environmental responsibility, NexGen Cloud stands out in a market where GPU access often comes with high costs and limited flexibility.

Enterprise-Grade AI Infrastructure with Hyperstack

At the heart of NexGen Cloud’s strategy is Hyperstack, the company’s flagship AI-as-a-Service platform launched in 2023. Hyperstack offers on-demand, enterprise-grade GPU access with a self-service model that supports both large enterprises and agile AI startups. Since launch, the platform has driven €83.9 million in revenue across 2023 and 2024 and recorded a 380% increase in cloud operations.

Even more impressive is the 2,272% year-over-year spike in transactions, highlighting surging demand for scalable AI infrastructure. Today, Hyperstack supports over 10,000 users and manages thousands of GPUs at a 90% utilization rate. Its clients include Red Hat, Tyne, Ingenix.AI, and ArchiLabs.

Custom Solutions for Complex AI Workloads

NexGen Cloud’s infrastructure is built to support diverse AI use cases, from serverless inference to secure data processing. For enterprises with strict compliance requirements, its Private Cloud offering enables sovereign AI environments with complete data control. Meanwhile, startups benefit from flexible, high-performance GPU access through Hyperstack.

The company is also working on Fine-Tuning-as-a-Service, a solution that helps customers adapt pre-trained AI models to their own datasets. This service will allow companies to fine-tune models more efficiently while maximizing resource usage across GPU clusters.

Strategic Partnerships and Future Growth

With the new funding, NexGen Cloud plans to scale its tech and team aggressively. It’s already attracting praise from industry leaders. Ed Goode, CEO of cloud marketplace Shadeform, said, “NexGen has been an incredibly reliable partner as we’ve scaled. Their top-tier support and consistently strong performance have made a huge impact. We’re proud to grow alongside them.”

Looking ahead, NexGen Cloud’s roadmap includes expanding its infrastructure footprint, launching new AI products, and deepening industry partnerships. As demand for ethical and efficient AI solutions accelerates, NexGen Cloud is positioning itself as the go-to provider of secure, scalable, and sustainable AI infrastructure in Europe.
