Edge AI chipmaker MemryX has successfully closed a $44 million Series B funding round, bolstering its mission to deliver high-performance, energy-efficient AI computing at the edge. The round drew strong backing from both returning and new investors, signaling growing confidence in MemryX’s innovative approach to AI hardware.

The funding milestone comes as the company’s flagship MX3 AI Accelerator reaches production maturity, winning design slots across more than a dozen commercial partners. These selections span key industries and highlight growing demand for smarter, low-power edge computing.

Keith Kressin, CEO of MemryX, said:

“This funding enables us to scale production of our best-in-class MX3 chip and finish development of our revolutionary next-gen MX4 accelerator. Thanks to our software-first architecture, we’ve been capital-efficient while supporting a broad customer base and laying a strong foundation for future product development.”

Disrupting Edge AI with Power Efficiency and Performance

MemryX’s MX3 AI accelerator delivers powerful performance for vision-based inference workloads while consuming less than 10% of the energy required by traditional GPU solutions. This breakthrough efficiency positions MemryX chips as a game-changer for edge devices, where performance-per-watt is mission critical.

The MX3 accelerator is already being integrated by customers across multiple verticals—ranging from AI-enabled Video Management Systems (VMS) to Industrial PCs and Edge Servers. These partners are drawn to the chip’s performance, ease of integration, and robust software support.

A Developer-First Approach to AI at the Edge

Unlike many hardware-first chip startups, MemryX has built a reputation for its software-first architecture, offering developers an intuitive and scalable environment to deploy AI models. Its Developer Hub provides public access to tools, benchmarks, and performance metrics across hundreds of AI models, helping engineers accelerate prototyping and deployment.

This approach has allowed MemryX to move quickly while keeping costs low—an advantage that continues to attract forward-thinking customers and investors alike.

With its Series B funding secured, MemryX is now moving full steam ahead on the MX4 accelerator, which is expected to push the boundaries of edge AI even further. The company is also ramping up its customer support, onboarding new design wins, and expanding partnerships in hardware and software.

Meet MemryX at ISC West 2025

MemryX will be on the ground at ISC West 2025 in Las Vegas from April 2–4, where it will showcase real-world applications of its MX3 technology alongside hardware partners. Visitors are encouraged to attend live demonstrations and explore how MemryX is shaping the future of Edge AI Computing.
